부활절인 오늘은 캄보디아 명절인 쫄츠남 마지막 날이기도 합니다.

Today, Easter, is also the last day of Choltnam, a Cambodian holiday.

​주일학교 아이들은 평소보다 조금 적은 인원이 참석했지만, 그래도 함께 찬양하고 말씀듣고 2부 순서로 게임도 하면서

예수님의 부활을 기뻐했습니다.

Sunday school children attended in smaller numbers than usual,

but they still praised together, listened to the word, and played games in the second part,

and rejoiced in the resurrection of Jesus.

장년 예배 때는 예수님의 부활이 우리와 어떤 관계가 있는지에 대해서 설교했습니다.​

During the youth service, we preached about how the resurrection of Jesus relates to us.

예배 후에는 쁘락써 집사님께서 준비해주신 특식(쌀국수, 캄보디아말로 '꾸이띠우')으로 다함께 만찬을 즐겼습니다.

After the service, we all enjoyed a special meal (rice noodles, or 'Kui Tiew' in Cambodian) prepared by Deacon Prakser.

에피소드 하나

예배 전에 한 성도님께서 저에게 오셔서 "지금 우리는 어느 시대에 살고 있나요?"라고 물어보셨습니다.

Before the service, a church member came to me and asked, "What era are we living in now?"

저는 질문의 의도를 잘 이해하지 못해서 무슨 말씀이신지 다시 여쭤보니 자신이 지금 페이스북 메신저로

성경 공부를 하고 있는데 그 선생님이 지금 우리는 '새로운 성경'의 시대를 살고 있다고 가르쳐 주었다고 합니다.

I didn't quite understand the intent of the question, so I asked him again what he meant.

He said that he was studying the Bible through Facebook Messenger

and that the teacher taught him that we are living in the era of the 'New Bible'.

제가 그 내용을 확인해보니 새로운 성경이라면서 주로 심판에 대한 내용이 많았습니다.

When I checked the contents, it was a new Bible, and it mostly had a lot of content about judgment.

그 성도님께 자세히 여쭤보니 마치 학교도 1학년, 2학년으로 올라가면서 교과서가 바뀌듯이 성경도 시대에 따라서 새로운 성경이 나온다고 합니다.

When I asked the believer in detail, he said that just like school textbooks change when students move up to the first and second grades,

new Bibles come out according to the times.

그리고 예수님은 이미 재림하셨는데 중국에 오셨다고 합니다. 왜 하필 중국이냐하면 중국이 핍박이 가장 심했기 때문이라고 합니다.

중국으로부터 시작해서 온 세계로 퍼져갈 것이라고 합니다.

​And Jesus has already returned, and he said he came to China. The reason he said it was China is because China was the most persecuted.

He said that it will start from China and spread to the whole world.

저는 당연히 이단이라고 설명드리고 가능하면 그분과 연결을 끊으시라고 말씀드렸습니다.

I explained that it was a heresy and told him to cut ties with it if possible.

그런데 그 성도님이 그분이 말하길 만약 자신이 선교사님에게 여쭤보면 그분과 관계를 끊으라고 말씀하실 것이라고 말했다고 합니다.

But the believer said that if he asked the missionary, he would tell him to cut ties with him.

순간 뭔가 잘못된 것 같다는 느낌이 들었습니다. 그 성도님은 제 말을 듣기 보다는 그분을 만나서 서로 얘기해보고

더 좋은 것을 선택하면 되는 것 아니냐고 하십니다.

At that moment, I felt that something was wrong.

Rather than listening to me, the believer said that he should meet with him, talk to him,

and choose a better one.

정말 궁금해서 저에게 물어보기 보다는 그분의 말을 저에게 전하는(?) 듯한 느낌이 들었습니다.

그래서 일단 알겠다고 하고 대화를 마무리했습니다.

I felt like he was relaying his words to me(?) rather than asking me because he was really curious.

So I said okay and ended the conversation.

아직 성경 지식이 많이 부족한 캄보디아에는 정말 다양한 이단들이 들어와있습니다.

이분들이 볼 때 이단을 경계하는 개신교가 상당히 배타적으로 보일 것 같기도 합니다.

Cambodia, where knowledge of the Bible is still lacking, has really come into contact with various heresies.

When these people see it, Protestantism, which is wary of heresies, seems quite exclusive.

이단들도 이 점을 잘 공략하는 것 같습니다. 어차피 같은 하나님, 예수님을 믿는데 다 같은 믿음 아니냐는 것입니다.

​It seems that heresies are also exploiting this point well.

After all, they believe in the same God and Jesus, so isn't it the same faith?

하나님께서 지혜를 주셔서 잘 대응할 수 있도록, 이번 기회를 통해서 왜 유독 기독교에는

이단이 이처럼 많은지 잘 가르칠 수 있도록 기도 부탁드립니다.

Please pray that God will give us wisdom to respond well and that we can use this opportunity

to teach why there are so many heresies in Christianity.
